Chris Metz, CEO
Chris has provided Novation Industries (formerly WM Plastics) leadership for more than 25 years.  He was instrumental in developing the quality processes and high standards that company embraces today.  His work as VP Operations, President and eventually CEO has brought the company a steady and strong leadership continuity, one that transcended from his father’s vision.  The company’s steady growth culminated in the construction of a new facility in 2001.  Chris’ leadership has been a critical influence in positioning the company for growth into the future and has transcended into the recent expansion and rebranding efforts. 

Scott Baxter, President
Scott brings to Novation Industries more than 30 years of senior level operations management experience including experience with overseeing start-up engineering and manufacturing operations within fortune 500 companies.  A results-driven senior executive with demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement tactically to achieve success, Scott brings focus to continuous improvement throughout the organization including LEAN manufacturing, sourcing and supplier management, team building, project management and new business development.  Scott holds a Masters in Business Administration, a B.S. in Industrial / Mechanical Technology and an A.A.S. in Mechanical Technology.

David Butt, Vice President Business Development
David has more than 20 years of experience in the plastics industry, both domestic and international.  As a past founder and president of his own plastic injection molding company, David brings important leadership and industry experience including groundbreaking consulting methods and innovative business development strategies.  With a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Watford College of Technology in England, David is a critical team member to the company.  His industry expertise expands our successful and growing business.

Greg ShowersDirector Engineering and Quality
Greg brings nearly 30 years of collective engineering experience in the plastics industry,  including process, manufacturing, mechanical and tooling disciplines. During his career, he has served in engineering leadership roles within diverse markets sectors with focus in consumer electronics, packaging, merchandising, automotive and medical products.  He is adept at fostering innovation and forward thinking concepts, while also focusing on manufacturing process optimization and overall product quality considerations.  Greg's formal education includes Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering coursework at the University of Illinois, Chicago.

Pete Martel, Controller
Pete oversees the company’s finances, information technology and human resources functions. He brings more than 20 years experience in hiring management talent, developing technology infrastructures and managing accounting systems, as well as legal and risk management functions. He is a CMA and holds a B.S. in Finance. 

Brian Johannsen, Plant Manager
Brian brings vast knowledge and an intensive skill set to our team, with nearly 40 years of plastic injection molding experience.  He has worked within multiple disciplines in the plastics field, including technician, manager and supervisor.  His experience working with both internal and external engineers from Fortune 500 companies is evident through his operational success as plant manager.  As a part of Novation’s team for 12 years, Brian’s leadership has provided quality procurement and pristine organization of our production and assembly work environment.

William Etten, Quality Assurance Manager
William has an extensive history working in plastic injection molding, with more than 25 years of experience managing various manufacturing facilities.  His responsibilities range from coordinating and directing quality production programs, to oversight of strategic developmental support of manufactured plastic molded components.  William’s wide range of skills are essential in supporting quality processes within Novation’s diverse work environment.  His impressive work ethic is showcased by his Bachelors of Science in Management and Human Resource Management, which he earned from Columbia College of Missouri with Honors.
